Prof. Maode MA, Qatar University, Doha 

IET Fellow, H-index: 54 

Prof. Maode Ma, a Fellow of IET, received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 1999. Now, Prof. Ma is a Research Professor in the College of Engineering at Qatar University in Qatar. Before joining Qatar University, he has been a faculty member at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore for over 20 years. He has extensive research interests including network security and wireless networking. He has led 26 research projects funded by government, industry, military, and universities in various countries. Prof. Ma has more than 500 international academic publications including over 250 journal papers and about 250 conference papers. He has edited a few technical books and produced over 28 book chapters. His publication has received over 10,000 citations in Google Scholar. He has delivered over 90 keynote speeches and 10 tutorials at various international conferences. Prof. Ma currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Computer and Communication Engineering and the Journal of Communications. He also serves as a Senior Editor for IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials, and an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing and International Journal of Communication Systems. Prof. Ma is a senior member of the IEEE Communication Society and a member of ACM. He is now the Chair of the ACM, Singapore Chapter. He has been serving as an IEEE Communication Society Distinguished Lecturer from 2013 to 2016 and from 2023 to 2024.




Assoc. Prof. Mohd Khair Bin Hassan, University Putra Malaysia, Malaysia

Mohd Khair Hassan was born in Melaka, Malaysia in Nov 1974. He received his BEng (Hons) degree in Electrical and Electronics from University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom in 1998 and MEng degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Technology Malaysia (UTM). He later completed his Ph.D. degree specializing in Automotive Engineering from University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2010. Currently, he is the Deputy Dean of Research and Innovation, Faculty of Engineering, University Putra Malaysia and a registered Professional Engineer in the field of Electronic under the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM). Additionally, he is a Malaysian Board of Technology (MBOT) -certified Professional Technologist. He is currently serving as vice-president of the Malaysian Society for Automatic and Control Engineers (MACE), also known as IFAC-MACE Malaysia, and is an IEEE senior member. Control systems, battery system and AI applications, are among his areas of interest. His research team focuses on RUL prediction, energy management, battery balancing, and battery modelling. In journals, he has authored over 78 publications and authored 5 book chapters. Currently mentoring 16 PhD and 5 MSc students, he has graduated 12 PhD and 15 MSc students. He also serves on the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) and Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC) panels that accredit Electrical and Electronic (EE) programmes appointed by the Malaysian Board of Engineers. He also serves as an external examiner for PhD and MSc students from Malaysian and international universities. Additionally, he serves as an evaluator and expert panel member for a variety of grant applications.

Prof. Ts. Dr. Hamzah Ahmad, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah, Malaysia

Hamzah Ahmad graduated from Shinshu University, Japan for his first degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering in 2000. He worked at Sharp-Roxy Electronics Corporation Sdn Bhd as a design engineer until 2003. He joined UMPSA and pursued M.Eng Electrical(Mechatronics) at UTHM and PhD in Electrical Engineering at Kanazawa University, Japan in 2005 and 2011 respectively. His research works focusing on control system, navigation, estimation and filtering, AI and medical electronics.

During his earlier work in UMP, he was appointed as the Head of Program(Academic) from 2005 to 2007. He was then appointed as the Deputy Dean of Academic and Student Affairs(2011-2015). He consistently served conference and international events as advisors, chairman, and reviewers and of the MACE executive committee(2015-2017, 2023-2025) and recognized as MBOT professional technologist. Hamzah Ahmad has been invited to be judges, consultant and trainers for a number of program in schools and university. He was the Acting CEO for UMP Advanced Education Sdn. Bhd (2022-2023), who responsibles for various socio-economics grants from ECER and NCER during his appointment. He currently appointed as the Dean of Faculty of Electrical & Electronics Engineering Technology. Hamzah Ahmad has received more than 30 research grants including both national and internationally including several awards such as Excellence worker, innovation, and publication for his commitment in teaching and learning, research and community activities







Assoc. Prof. Mu’azu Jibrin Musa, Ahmadu Bello University, Samaru, Nigeria

Dr. Mu’azu Jibrin Musa is an Associate Professor of Mechatronics and Intelligent Systems at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Nigeria, and a distinguished scholar with a robust academic and research portfolio. Originally from Kwami, Gombe State, he holds a B.Eng. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Yola (now MAU), an M.Sc. from ABU Zaria, and a Ph.D. in Control and Mechatronics Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), where he was honored with the Best Student Award at the university’s 62nd Convocation Ceremony for his academic excellence. Dr. Musa’s interdisciplinary research spans robotics, electronics, control systems, optimization, artificial intelligence (AI), smart mobility, and the Internet of Vehicles (IoV). His pioneering work on Model Predictive Control (MPC) in vehicular and smart environments has attracted best paper awards, competitive research grants including from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and international collaborations. He has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications, many of which are Scopus and ISI-indexed, and supervised numerous M.Sc. and Ph.D. candidates. A registered engineer with COREN and an active member of various professional bodies, Dr. Musa continues to lead transformative research that bridges theory and application to address real-world engineering challenges in Nigeria and beyond.
